The drive from LA to SF took about 7.5 hours, we stopped at In N Out for lunch, a California experience that I've been told for years I need to have.....
We didn't take the coastal route, we probably would have been on the road for 12 hours if we had done that, but we did see some interesting scenery and tons of trucks carrying, peppers, and garlic. Sadly because we didn't take the coastal route we didn't see the infamous artichoke farms. Artichokes and Big Sur are on my list for my return trip to CA!
